  • After around 30 years Kashmir gets its first multiplex today (20th September 2022). A special screening of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is made. The Srinagar-based multiplex has th322 large auditoriums with a seating capacity of 500 people at a time. Multiplex was designed by INOX.
  • RBI delisted the Central Bank of India from its Prompt Corrective Action Framework PCA list on 20th September 2022. RBI said the Central Bank of India was no longer in breach of PCA as per its 2021-22 results.
  • Australia records its highest-ever successful chase against India in T201. Australia defeated India by four wickets in the first T201 in Mohali on 20th September 2022. Australia's previous highest successful T20I chase against India had come on 27th February 2019, when they chased down a 191-run target.
  • India smashed 208/6 in 20 overs against Australia in T20I on 20th September. This is India's highest total against Australia in T20I cricket. India's previous, highest T20I total against Australia was 202/4 scored on 10th October 2013.
  • The Supreme court on 20th September 2022, upheld the constitutional validity of the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara (Management) Act 2014, under which a separate committee was formed to manage the affairs of Gurudwaras in the state.
  • IAS officer Shah Faesal who was re-instated in 2022 after he had quit government services in 2019 has withdrawn his petition from the Supreme Court challenging the revocation of Article 370 on 20th September 2022, which granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir.
