Best Picnic spot in Jharsuguda district of Odisha - Koilighughar

Koilighughar is definitely one of the best tourist place to visit in Jharsuguda district. Koilighughar is around 55km from Jharsuguda and around 39km from the nearest Belpahar railway station. Koilighughar comes under Lakhanpur block and is visited by thousands of tourist every year for its picturesque beauty of waterfall with a Shiv Temple on top of it. Koilighughar waterfall is surrounded by lush green forest and a rivulet named Ahiraj which has its origin from Chhuikhanch forest falls here through large rocks. This rivulet Ahiraj later merge into Mahanadi river. Koilighughar apart from the beautiful waterfall, also hosts a Shivalayam known as Maheshwarnath inside the falls. Ullapgarh which is situated around 7km from Belpahar Railway station is one of the major tourist destination in the Belpahar Municipality. Ullapgarh is a hillock which also has few caves in it.
