  • 1979 - Shalini AjithKumar or Shalini Babu, also known simply as Shalini, is a former Indian actress who predominantly worked in Malayalam films along with a few Tamil films. She debuted at the age of three as a child artist in the Malayalam film Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku, which was produced by Navodaya Studio. 
  • 1976 – Tusshar Kapoor is an Indian Bollywood actor, producer and son of veteran actor Jeetendra and the younger brother of Ekta Kapoor. He was also the co-owner of Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures from (2001-2019). His notable work include Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001), Khakee (2004), Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005), Golmaal - Fun Unlimited (2006), Dhol (2007) and Golmaal Returns (2008).
  • 1962 – Rajkumar Hirani (born 20 November 1962) is an Indian film director and editor. Hirani is known for directing the Hindi films Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), PK (2014) and Sanju (2018). All of his films have been commercial and critical successes. He has won 11 Filmfare Awards.
  • 1905 – Minoo Masani, Indian lawyer and politician (d. 1998)
  • 1750 – Tipu Sultan also known as Tipu Sahab or the Tiger of Mysore, was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore and a pioneer of rocket artillery.
Deaths on 20th November
  • 2017 - Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was a noted Congress politician, former Union Minister and a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Raiganj of West Bengal and was a member of the Indian National Congress party. After nine years in coma after a massive stroke, he died at the age of 72.
