  • 2022 - India defeated New Zealand by 65 runs in the second T201 in Mount Maunganui on 20th November 2022. It's India's biggest-ever victory (by runs) in T201 cricket on New Zealand soil. The match witnessed Suryakumar Yadav smash 111*(51), his second hundred in T20Ils. India has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The first match was abandoned due to rain in Wellington.

  • 1962 – Rajkumar Hirani (born 20 November 1962) is an Indian film director and editor. Hirani is known for directing the Hindi films Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), PK (2014) and Sanju (2018). All of his films have been commercial and critical successes. He has won 11 Filmfare Awards.
  • 1905 – Minoo Masani, Indian lawyer and politician (d. 1998)
  • 1750 – Tipu Sultan also known as Tipu Sahab or the Tiger of Mysore, was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore and a pioneer of rocket artillery.

  • 2022 - Aindrila Sharma was a Bengali actress. She died on 20th November 2022, at a hospital in Kolkata, where she was undergoing treatment after suffering multiple cardiac arrests earlier this week. She died at the age of 24.

  • 2017 - Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was a noted Congress politician, former Union Minister and a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Raiganj of West Bengal and was a member of the Indian National Congress party. After nine years in a coma after a massive stroke, he died at the age of 72.
