2022 - Magsaysay awardee journalist Ravish Kumar resigned from NDTV with which he was associated for around 27 years after the takeover of NDTV by Industrialist Adani who is a close friend of current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ravish joined NDTV on August 1986. He used to work on daily wages as a translator, and his initial work used to be segregating letters of news reports, complaints, advice etc. He resigned after more than 26 years as a Chief Editor of NDTV.
