Early life

Born to Hindustani Classical Vocal Maestro Pandit Dr Chittaranjan Pani and Poet Smt. Krishnapriya Pani on 30th September 1989 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Born in a musical family, Music came naturally to Aurosish as his father-cum-Guru, Pandit Dr Chittaranjan Pani, who belongs to 'Gwalior Gharana', has always been constantly guiding him since his childhood days. Aurosish has also been blessed with guidance from many maestros of the Indian Classical field such as Pandit Dr Damodar Hota, Pandit Dr Chitta Ranjan Jyotishi and Padmashree Pandit Balwant Rai Bhatt.

Career

Aurosish did his Sangeet Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Hindustani Vocal from Tecnia University, Delhi. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement (GITA) under Biju Patnaik University (BPUT), Odisha.

He worked in "Gurukul Geetanjali" as a Hindustani Vocal Trainer. Earlier, Aurosish was working with Infosys for around 5 years as a Senior Software Engineer. Later on, he left the job to pursue a career as a Classical Musician and Teacher and serve music with dedication and perseverance.

Aurosish is a young artist in Hindustani Vocal Music and is well received by musical connoisseurs since his teenage. He has performed in numerous prestigious stages and conferences which include Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi, ICCR Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar Music Circle, Odisha Mining Corporation, "Gurukul Geetanjali", "Aamad", "Evergreen", Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, etc.

He won the tag of "Classical Voice of Bhubaneswar" by winning the competition in the senior group and represented Odisha in the National level competition "Classical Voice of India" organized by "Sangeet Milan" (Lucknow) in the year 2017 in which he got special mention and recognition.

Apart from Classical performances, He was in the top 8 of the State level Reality Show "Voice of Odisha" in the year 2011. He was also in the top 100 singers of the country in the popular national reality show "Sa re Ga Ma Pa" in the year 2010. He also has given his voice to various songs in Odisha Industry.

Awards & Recognitions

Aurosish's career has been laden with lots of awards and felicitations from various institutions in the state and country.

  • Won "Youth Icon" from Odisha Live media channel in the field of Hindustan classical
  • 2019 - Won the most "Special Performance" in the national level Classical competition organised by "Swaramayee Gurukul"(Dr Prabha Atre Foundation) in the year 2019.
  • 2017 - Won the tag of "Classical Voice of Bhubaneswar" by standing first in the senior group and representing Odisha in the National level competition "Classical Voice of India" in the year 2017.
  • 2010 - Won the prestigious award of Lion's Idol in the year 2010.
  • 2011 - One of the top 8 contestants of the local reality show "Voice of Odisha" (Season 1)
  • 2010 - Been among the top 100 singers of the country in the national TV reality show "Zee TV Sa re ga ma pa" in the year 2010.
  • 2010 - Also won various competitions like Rotary Club Golden Voice, Infosys Idol, IIT BBSR Alma Fiesta, NIIT Competition, etc.

Know all about board game Ludo

Pachisi, Chausar, Chopad or popularly known as Ludo is an ancient Indian game, which per some historians Mughal Emperor Akbar was addicted to and used to play with real people instead of plastic buttons or plastic statue miniatures, the game has now become a strategy game and are taught at business schools. On August 29, 1891, Alfred Collier had applied for a patent in England, claiming that a board game, which he named Royal Ludo, was his invention. Since then the game became popular worldwide by the name we know today. Later on, the British Royal Navy converted it into a board game called ‘Uckers’. According to some historians this board game of Ludo or pachisi originates in India as far back as 3300 BC. The exact origins of this legendary game though seems uncertain, but some earliest proofs of this game comes from the historic Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, where the board game was depicted in the form illustrations on the wall. This seems to suggest that Ludo was an Indian creation.
