While Petrol is being sold in India at around ₹115/ltr (September 2022), you will be amazed to know that Venezuela selling it at just ₹1.75/ltr, while Hongkong selling it at ~237/ltr.

India imports a litre of petrol at ₹47, to which the central govt adds 58% excise tax, while states add another 30% VAT and finally freight and commission charges contribute another 8% to it.

India imports about 85% of its Petrol consumption from countries like Iran, Venezuela and other OPEC countries.

Chandrani Murmu (born: 16th June 1993), from Keonjhar, Odisha made history after winning the Lok Sabha seat from Keonjhar in Odisha.
